For breakfast, you can start at Le Panier, which calls itself a "very French Bakery." Chocolate croissants, pinwheels and numerous other pastries are delivered within the already intoxicating aroma the place emanates. Coffee and cappuccino served continuously, of course.
For lunch, try The Athenian Inn, which prides itself on "catch-of-the-day" specials. Prices are a bit more pricey than other place in town, but paying market price for your seafood assures you of an excellent meal, and the Athenian doesn't disappoint.
If you're on a budget, be sure to ask for free samples as you make your way through the market. Maybe you won't make an entire meal out of them, but you'll be better informed of the meal you are about to get at your budget.
