About Us
Hankerson's Homestead offers a fun-filled day for you and your family!
We are a living history homestead — offering a look at what everyday life was like in the past. Our 5-acre property, located on the shores of White Rock Lake, includes a house and small barn.
What was life in Dallas like for a 1870's family? You'll experience a first-hand look at life in the 1870's as our mother and children take care of the house, garden, and family animals.

Activities
- Barnyard Favorites
- Feed the chickens or milk the cow.
- The Garden
- Help pick veggies & fruits.
- Homestead
- Make buttermilk, make a potholder, or help our family with their daily tasks.
- Hay ride
- Take a ride out to our field where you can feed the horses, goats or sheep.
- Field Experience
- Watch our farm hands plow, plant, harvest the crops in our small field.
